Meet Our Optometrist 

Dr. Chandra M. Williams provides quality eye care services and vision care to the River City area.

Chandra M. Williams, O.D. FAAO

Dr. Chandra M. Williams is a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Optometry in Birmingham, AL. She completed a residency in primary eye care at The Malcolm Randall Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville, FL in 2007. Dr. Williams has presented numerous papers and lectures for organizations throughout the southeast, and she has published a definitive paper in the Review of Optometry.

Dr. Williams is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of several other professional organizations including the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Northeast Florida Optometric Association. Over the past several years, Dr. Williams has done extensive community and professional volunteering in eye care for her church and for the needy.

Dr. Kristen Purdy

Dr. Kristen Purdy, originally from Solon, Iowa, is a highly accomplished optometrist with a passion for ocular health and patient care. She completed her undergraduate studies in Southeast Missouri before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 2020, graduating Summa Cum Laude. During her time in optometry school, she was a proud member of the Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK) Honor Society and participated in Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH), providing eye care and glasses to underserved communities in Mexico, Colombia, and Bolivia.

Now an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Florida Optometric Association (FOA), and the Northeast Florida Optometric Society (NEFOS), Dr. Purdy specializes in ocular disease management, fitting contact lenses, and performing foreign body removals. She is dedicated to improving her patient’s vision and overall eye health through personalized care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Purdy enjoys spending time with her two dogs, relaxing at the beach, and exploring Jax Fray activities.
